The Department of Haematology provides Clinical Haematological Services as well as Laboratory Haematology Services & Blood Transfusion Services to patients at Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
The successful candidate is expected to provide both inpatient and outpatient care to patients with haematological disorders.
He/She will also participate in providing coverage to laboratory haematology services including reporting of blood films bone marrow aspirates special coagulation tests flow cytometry and other special haematology tests.
His/Her other responsibilities will include teaching and mentoring junior doctors as well as counselling and interacting with patients and caregivers to educate them about their medical conditions.
The doctor must:
be in active clinical practice;
have a basic medical degree from an accredited medical university or medical school;
Possess recognised postgraduate qualifications such as MRCP or equivalent registrable with SMC;
have at least 3 years of post housemanship working experience as a medical officer (or equivalent) in Haematology or related fields or possess a postgraduate medical qualification in the relevant field/specialty;
fulfill the registration requirements stipulated by Singapore Medical Council (SMC);
