Austin Dean Recruitment is currently looking for a Staff Nurse - Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery - within a Private Clinic in LondonAreas of Responsibility: - Professional/Clinical: • To take responsibility for individualised patient care acting as the named nurse, using the Roper Logan and Tierney model and documentation for the department. • To adopt a holistic, pro-active and dynamic approach to clients with Plastic and Reconstructive care needs. • To act as a role model and change agent for students and staff members by promoting innovation and high practice standards. • To promote partnership with patients in the care. • To ensure legibility and accuracy of nursing records and to be aware of the legal implications of these documents. • To encourage good working relationships within the multidisciplinary team, to promote the professional conduct, to ensure the effective care and treatment of patients. • To participate in the promotion of the Department and The Clinic. Training/ Education: • To continue to develop and consolidate skills in assessing, monitoring, developing and evaluating care for patients with a wide variety of physical, psychological and social needs. • To act as mentor to students, teaching and assessing as appropriate and to assist with the orientation of new staff. • To be a member of at least one Clinic Forum or Committee and to participate in department projects. • To participate in individual performance review within the first three months of employment and annually thereafter. • To achieve quarterly targets as set by mentor or line manager. • To attend mandatory updates on Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation and I.V. Assessment • To have a willingness to extend the clinical role in helping with new innovations in plastic and Reconstructive surgery practice. Health and Safety: • To be familiar with Health and Safety representative for your area• To be competent in the use and storage of all equipment in your department and promptly report any faults. Qualifications : RGN Experience : Minimum of 12 months Clinical experience in acute general surgery. Salary Range: £32,597 - £36,505 per annum including allowances Hours per week : 35 per week (with internal rotation to day/night duty)
